Laura,

Let's definitely try to Skype you in on Sunday. Will you PM me you
skype name? I can't make Saturday and no one else expressed a
objection to Sunday's time.

1. If I'm not mistaken, a proposal just passed GA that was
essentially a carbon copy of what was passed at OWS. Not sure
though, maybe someone else can chime in.
2. I don't have the time or energy to work on a first draft of
talking points but Patrick has said that he's going to have them
done by Sunday.
3. Sounds like an important item to talk about on Sunday
I cannot physically attend on Feb.12th, but my skype account is
laura.bloise76, if someone has their computer and wants to skype
me in I can try to be available, but i may be on an airplane at
that time. Sat @ 3:00PM EST would be better for me. The CU
group meets wed @7:30 in E5, if you jump in with that I can also
try to skype into that meeting on the 8th. I think sooner is
better than later...see action item 3 below.

Action Items:
1. Has anything gone before GA yet? Heleni and Nick from CU
group, both said they were going to present something to GA this
week. I like the Democracy School resolution you sent out. I
think we should use that at the template for what we present to
GA and city council. It does not however have a provision in
there asking for an amendment. I also recommended some changes
to the group. I will try to send you a revised version with
those changes and an amendment ask for tomorrow.
2. The OWS and DC resolutions have a long list of whereas' that
could be reworked into talking points. Those are both good
places to start. It would be good if you or Patrick also had
that done by Thursday so that people could add to or comment on
them.
3. City Council research and strategy...in addition to this, I
think we also need a list of people from different precincts to
contact their council members. I have some contacts from the
20/21 sign-up. My mom is meeting me in Venice, Ill have her
bring the list and try to get some of those contacts to you next
week--at least the ones that pertain to Boston. I am also
really concerned that if we wait till the 12th for this it won't
be enough time to prepare and turn people out to the meeting on
the 15th. Like I said, I will get you names of contacts next
week, but I think we need to reach out to CC members before
that. If we wait until the 12 to get that done, that only
leaves 2 business days to act.
Subject: [Citizens-Resolution] Next meeting and tasks

The spirited dialogue around the draft resolution got me
thinking: we need a meeting! I'm sensitive to the fact
that this weekend is quite busy for folks, so how does next Sunday,
February 12th at 3:00PM sound? Feel free to respond with
an alternative suggestion if that doesn't work for you.

There a quite a few latent action items that need to get done in
advance of this meeting. Here's what I got:
1) A complete draft of the resolution. [Heleni, Laura, John]
Due by Thursday, to allow the group to review in advance of
the meeting.
2) Talking points. [Patrick<-- are you still interested?]
Due by next meeting.
3) Research on the Boston City Council [Rachel, Erica]
Due by next meeting.

If you'd like to join one of the existing efforts, please
email the list and I'll connect you to the right people.

Finally, I updated the wiki with a ton of new information and
resources. Check it out and add to it, especially those of you
who are doing research work: <a moz-do-not-send="true"
