I am reaching out to each of you because I need your help, OccupyMBTA needs your help! As you hopefully all know Occupy MBTA and Occupy Boston put out a call for a National Day of Action for Public Transportation on April 4th (http://www.occupyboston.org/2012/03/03/ob-calls-national-day-action-public-transportation/). We all know that public transportation fights are happening across the country and this is a national issue. Occupations from Portland to Pittsburgh have come on board (and many others). Also, The Amalgamated Transit Union, the largest labor organization representing transit workers in the US and Canada, has pledged its support for the April 4 National Day of Action for Public Transportation (http://occupymbta.org/2012/03/20/transit-union-endorses-april-4-national-day-of-action-for-public-transportation/) On April 4th we will stand up together, and elevate our voices to a national level calling for Public Transportation for the 99%!

We really need your help over the next few days to spread the word as much as possible across the nation before our InterOccupy conference call this TUESDAY at 9pm EST (Interoccupy.org/Transportation) . For many occupations, they won't be able to pull off a huge action with a week to plan but they can definitely take part in the day of action. If we can get them on board in the next few days it would make the day so much more successful. So, I am asking each of you if you can forward some version of the email below to anyone you know in other cities. Anyone involved in occupy or community groups who could spread the word!
